How to lock a lever action rifle12/11/2022 ![]() ![]() ![]() I'm not worried about the people living in my house, it's the visitors that I want to protect until I can be sure they got the lessons right. I couldn't agree more, I too was raised with guns in the house and we were raised to respect them and each other. a kid that has been kept from guns and not taught anything about them is more likely to try and sneak around and mess with them (accident waiting to happen IMO) than a kid who has been taught about them & brought up around them.curiousity killed the cat! The curiousity factor was never an issue. Why, some might ask? Because from very young ages we were taught about the safety, seriousness and responsibilities of guns. We never messed with dad's guns unless he was around and let us. This does not meet California gun storage requirements, and for good reason. I started shooting rifles and handguns at 4yrs old. ![]() I grew up in the house of a total gun nut (my dad) and he never had a safe or locked any of his guns up, almost always there were loaded guns in the house. You know bart, it's your gun so do what you want and I'm certainly not telling you what to do, but I'll just say this. ![]()
